Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing faults, plus routine maintenance across client vehicles
Scheduled fleet maintenance and repairs for a range of large clients across the Cairns region
Work alongside our team of mechanics and apprentices within the workshop
Full time hours with a call out roster (on call allowance applies) and overtime when required, weekend work rarely needed
Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic with 3+ years experience
Dealership operations experience and a heavy rigid licence advantageous
Strong time management with the ability to work unsupervised or as part of the team
Excellent communication skills and safety attitude
Generous wage negotiated on skills and experience, based on an hourly rate with overtime rates, tech allowances and field work rates
$100k+ per year

Ability to plan, implement and manage the demand and supply of parts for both our retail clients and our workshop
General parts interpreting for our main brands, IVECO, Scania and FIAT and supply into our workshop and over the counter customer sales
Maintain accurate recording of goods inward and outward, Procuring external & internal parts requirements as needed.
Freight logistics and timelines for part supply
Maintain and organised inventory managing a clean and organised parts store
Ability to maintain and improve the company’s high service standards together with positive customer communications
Excellent safety attitude and processes
