Junior Apprentice Candidates

Qualified Diesel Mechanic (minimum of 5 years experience preferred.)

A mature, Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with substantial post trade experience is required for our busy fleet maintenance company in Cairns. The role will include but is not limited to the following; Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing problems as necessary and provide routine maintenance to client’s vehicles. Collaborate and provide guidance as needed, to our team of mechanics and apprentices. Full time hours with call out roster (on call allowance applies) and overtime hours when required are expected as part of this role. Potential for progression within the company. Skills and Experience Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Minimum 3 years post trade experience. Experience in truck & bus repairs avantageous. Experience with European brands advantageous. Heavy rigid licence essential. Exceptional organisational skills, with strong emphasis on time management. Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and wholistic work ethics. Attractive salary package will be negotiated on skills and previous experience.
